The wave that never stops
No more landlocked: among the brick buildings of Berlin’s old Lichtenberg waterworks, the capital becomes a surf spot, inside a former waterworks hall converted into the city’s first permanent indoor surf facility. Inside, warm air, palms and ferns await you above the water. The citywave runs year-round at around 27°C water temperature. Wave height and current speed adjust smoothly, so every level surfs on the very same setup.
You don’t need to know how to surf already. Falling is part of it: the water is soft, you’re gently washed to the end of the pool and back on your feet right away, your coach is right there beside you. Whether it’s your first stand on the board with the support bar or pro-level turns and airs: a coach joins every session, board and lycra suit are included, all you need is swimwear.
